The Lucky Losers (Cathy Lemons and Phil Berkowitz), present their debut release,  A Winning Hand, an elegantly crafted collection of male/female blues and roots duets.

The album features musical contribution from Steve Freund (Sunnyland Slim, Big Walter Horton, Koko Taylor), Kid Andersen (Rick Estrin & The Nightcats), Lisa Leuschner-Andersen, Ben Rice (winner of 2019 International Blues Challenge for "Guitar" in the solo/duo category), J. Hansen, Joe Kyle, Chris Burns, Kevin Zuffi, Marvin Greene, Robi Bean, Steve Hazlewood, Tom Poole, Mike Rinta, and Michael Peloquin. 

All of the songs on A Winning Hand are produced by Phil Berkowitz, Cathy Lemons, and Kid Andersen. All horn arrangements by Michael Peloquin.

The album was recorded at Red Rooster Studios in Berkeley, CA (Garth Webber, engineer), The Cave Recording Studio in Mountain View, CA (Angelo Rossi, engineer), and Greaseland in San Jose, CA (Kid Andersen, engineer). 

All tracks mixed and mastered by Kid Andersen at Greaseland in San Jose, CA.
